Wichita, KS (June 28, 2024) – A woman in her 70s sustained serious injuries after being hit by a car in west Wichita on Thursday. The Wichita Police Department responded to a report of a pedestrian accident east of Tyler and Central. The woman was walking north when a westbound vehicle struck her. Emergency responders transported her to a hospital, where she remains in serious but stable condition. Initially reported as a hit-and-run, the driver returned shortly after the incident. Authorities are investigating the circ*mstances of the accident and are expected to provide updates as more information becomes available.
