Happy 300th Anniversary, Walpole, Massachusetts! What an amazing celebration at Walpole Day! Atri, Tasos, and Sarge from SCU had a blast at the SCU Credit Union booth, spreading cheer and greeting hundreds of attendees. We loved handing out fun giveaways, including a brand new Nintendo Switch console!Tasos, Branch Manager at our Walpole location said, "Thank you to everyone who joined us at Walpole Day! This milestone is a testament to the town's rich history, resilient spirit, and the strong bonds that unite its residents. We are honored to support and be part of this remarkable journey. Join us on May 16, 2024, when SCU Credit Union is hosting a blood drive for the patients at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Mass General Brigham. The blood drive is in memory of Jonathan Irving, nephew of SCU employee Robin Burns. The blood drive dates back to September of 2007, a month after Jonathan passed away at the age of 21 from histiocytic sarcoma, a rare form of cancer. Since then the Credit Union has hosted over 15 blood drives. Where over 450 units of blood have been collected for patients at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Mass General Brigham where Jonathan received comprehensive and compassionate care. SCU Credit Union had the pleasure of hosting a fantastic Tri-Town Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event at Jimmy's Pub in Mansfield!Dozens of local businesses came together for an evening filled with with great company, delicious food, and valuable networking opportunities. It was amazing to see so many passionate entrepreneurs and professionals connecting and building new relationships.A special thank you to Kara Griffin and Ingrid Williams for helping this event come together. We're looking forward to more opportunities to collaborate and support our local business community.
