  • Under the direction of the head coach, assists with teaching, coaching, and mentoring student-athletes, recruiting qualified prospects, logistical planning of practice and competition, developing and implementing strategies.

    The Assistant Softball Coach assists the Head Coach in all aspects of running an NCAA Division III Softball program by teaching and coaching student athletes, recruiting highly selective high school prospective student-athletes, developing and implementing game strategies, and leading physical training and practice organization.

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of two years of significant and relevant playing or teaching/coaching experience in softball.

    Licenses and Certifications:

    • CPR/First Aid certification (may be fulfilled upon employment).

    • Driver's License.

    Technical Skills or Knowledge:

    • Proficient in computer skills.

    • Microsoft Office Suite, etc.

    Preferred Competencies

    • Demonstrated knowledge of the sport and its rules.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments concurrently.

    • Familiarity with NCAA rules and Division III philosophy.

    • Embracing and understanding the importance of diversity and inclusion on teams and at the University.
